Early in school, in biology class, I collected plants around my hometown for my first herbarium. I just loved it! Maybe that was one of the catalysts for studying Biology | Botany in Vienna, followed by a PhD in Molecular Biology. With big data on my desk, I continued my education with an MSc in Bioinformatics with a special interest in machine learning. Currently I work as a geneticist/molecular biologist and bioinformatician at the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology (Me @ work) and in my free time I try to keep fit by swimming, cycling, running, and hiking.
